Interns and Psychologist Assistants
Psychological Assistants and MFT/LPC Interns are mental health professionals who are in the process of getting licensed and are approved to provide psychotherapy under the supervision of a licensed therapist. While every individual I supervise has their own views and style, in my practice we all share values of inclusion and acceptance of a range of identities and experiences. As part of my practice, they provide sliding scale fees, and you can ask them directly to determine what your fee would be. Elizabeth Cleves, Psy.D.
I offer supervision, consultation, and private practice development support to psychotherapy graduate students, interns, and psychology assistants. My private practice offers psychotherapy in San Francisco, and clinical supervision and consultation across the Bay in San Francisco and Alameda counties. I have training and professional experience in agencies and settings in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and beyond. The practice maintains office space for psychological assistants and interns to continue to develop clinical skills, build private practice knowledge, and deepen professional identities.
I have experience with providing supervision for individual and group therapy. Additionally, I have conducted process groups for students as an introduction to providing therapy. I believe it is important to understand our own strengths, and to create a path in therapy work that feels authentic.
I am an adjunct supervisor for graduate therapy students in training at a local clinic serving the LGBTQ community:
